The author writes for readers to contemplate the contrast between our world and a twin planet in a parallel universe. Quo Vadis, Earth? The contrast between Earthlings embroiled in the duality of win-lose, and the people of Twin, progressed to free energy and the unity of love. Could that be our future?
Don’t reach for this book if you’re looking for a break from daily worries with an engaging story that you “can’t put down.” Nuggets of insight sprinkled throughout the book offer food for thought rather than dramatic immersion.
Twin sends a pair of emissaries to help enlighten the Earth, but the mission fails. The one surviving, Pamela, finds shelter with the main protagonist, Karl. As Earth elites start making hay trading with Twin, Pamela is worried about them spoiling the innocence of her people. Karl is inspired to write a fictitious story as a warning for the twin planet. The media blacklist him. Ultimately, he flees Earth to start a new life on the twin planet he calls Heaven.
The story resonates with that of the author, who escaped the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia to start a new life in North America. Only to watch, especially of late, the creep of the same authoritarian centralism.
